DOT & BYRON

Dot and Byron live off-grid in Bliss Canyon, near the utopian community of Boulder, Colorado—an everyday example of sustainable, alternative living. Their closest neighbors are moose, black bears, deer, mountain lions, foxes, bighorn sheep, and the occasional (and much-loved) elk—plus very few humans nearby.

Dot and Byron

For over a decade, they led SimBLISSity Tiny Homes, crafting dozens of high-quality tiny homes on wheels to support thoughtful, right-sized living and a healthier planet.

Their passion for small spaces inspired Bliss Vardo Campers, handcrafted Romani-style wagons used as mobile offices, art studios, guest spaces, Airbnbs, and more.

World travelers and lifelong creatives, Dot and Byron launched Bliss Camp in 2020, offering beautiful, safe glamping during COVID. Guests fell in love with the canyon, the surrounding national forest, and the warm hospitality—sparking an expansion to include two spacious tent cabins and a boondocking RV site, in addition to the original Vardo wagons.

Hosts, Dot and Byron, reside on property and are accessible as needed; otherwise scarcely seen.

Dot is a trained naturalist, wildflower specialist, environmental protector, and the area’s go-to hiking concierge—devoted to living lightly and loving the land.
